UNI EN ISO 14064-1:2018 Certification
In this context the company has decided to evaluate over time its "climate footprint" or "carbon footprint".
This type of study quantitatively expresses the effects produced on the climate by the so-called greenhouse gases generated by an organization, be it a producer of goods or services, and is an environmental indicator that measures the impact of human activities on the global climate.
The study of the General Membrane Carbon Footprint, started in 2011 and still ongoing, was realized and certified by the SGS third party according to the new edition of the international standard UNI EN ISO 14064-1: 2018. The Company supplies the update of the certification every three years. The latest update of the report is the one related to year 2018.
The analysis of General Membrane Carbon Footprint has allowed a complete understanding of the effects that each single step of the Company's production cycle has on the environment - from the supply of raw materials to disposal, at the end of the product life cycle - and made it possible to define the objectives for improving the environmental impact and to accurately measure the improvements achieved with each intervention.
